Parque de los Deseos
Near the University of Antioquia, and the University subway station, is an interesting open space, which it shares with the planetarium, which contains a huge array of scientific experiments. It is possible to find outdoor movies projected at no cost and discussions with film directors at seven Saturday night.

La Plaza de Cisneros
Also known as the square of light, is located in the heart of the city, is surrounded by some of the most beautiful buildings built in the early 20's. At its side is the library of the Empresas Publicas de Medellin. It is near the metro station Alpujarra.

The Parque del Periodista
It is a small park right in the center of the city is the meeting place for the bohemian and alternative. The bars that surround it offer a variety of music from reggae, salsa and old school alternative rock. Most people can find spending time outdoors instead of inside the bars.
